Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 22, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rodney Davis officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour before services Friday, at the funeral home. Mr. Burks was born April 5, 1914, in Huntsdale to Ennis and Rena Redmond Burks. He married Vera Ravenscraft on Oct. 30, 1937, in Tuscumbia, and she survives. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW. He was a retiree of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Survivors also include two sons, Larry Burks of Columbia and Kenneth Burks of New York.
